United States Capitol Building - (SEGA - Universe At War)

From SEGA's Universe at War. One of several hundred set pieces and among the thousands crafted for Petroglyph Games. This asset had a completion time of two weeks from start to in-game. In order to preserve a sense of familiarity, I dug up the original building plans for our Capitol from a government website. So this model is for the most part historically accurate. Although guess-timating the model instead of looking at accurate reference might have been faster, I personally loath games or movies that do not accurately portray subject matter.

This large asset was an accomplished challenge as I had to fill a large area of video game level real estate and yet meet the technical limitations set forth by my superiors to keep vert counts low and textures small, but attractive.
